Bethesda, MD – October 17, 2005 – Hemodyne, Inc., today announced the election of three industry leaders to its Board of Directors. Jack McDonnell, Esq., Jack Daniels, and William Casey will join the Hemodyne Board effective January 1, 2006.
Jack McDonnell, co-founder of Bethesda Bioscience Partners LLC, is a highly regarded attorney and entrepreneur. Mr. McDonnell currently serves on the Boards of a number of companies, including CINTT Corporation, a company that offers educational and training services to the national intelligence community, Burren Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a specialty pharmaceutical company, Venturehouse Group, L.L.C., a management and investment fund for communications and information technology companies, Arcadis Geraghty & Miller, Inc., an environmental engineering company, Harvest Bank of Maryland, located in Rockville, Maryland., and on the Executive Committee of the Maryland Angels Council. He currently serves as General Counsel to Bio-Defense Research Group, Inc. a bioengineering company involved in homeland defense, and CIBERNET Corporation, a provider of roaming financial services for wireless carriers around the world. He also serves as Executive Vice President of Jurie Holdings LLC. His past appointments include General Counsel of Yurie Systems, Inc., Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Fairchild Industries, Inc., Executive Vice President, Fairchild Space & Defense Corporation, and as Principal Deputy General Counsel of the Department of the Navy. He also has over 11 years experience with national law firms in private practice. Mr. McDonnell is active on the boards of numerous civic organizations.
Jack Daniels is an internationally recognized leader in the medical products industry. He retired from Fisher Healthcare as Senior Vice President of Sourcing and Business Development, where he had world-wide responsibility for seeking new technologies. It was in this context that he was first introduced to Hemodyne. During his 38 year tenure at Fisher Scientific International, he held numerous positions including Project Manager for the Fisher/NASA Space Technology Transfer Program, Director of Marketing for the Corporation, Vice President of Marketing for the Instrumentation Laboratories Division, and Vice President and General Manager for Fisher Diagnostics, a manufacturing division. He served on a number of councils within the CLMA, is a member of the AACC and most recently served on the HIDA Hospital Advisory Board.
Bill Casey has over 25 years experience in operations, quality and service excellence. Recently retired from the Navy as a Commander, Mr. Casey is currently the Director of Productivity at Quest Diagnostics Nichols Institute, a division of the largest reference lab in the United States. He is also a senior Six Sigma consultant. Mr. Casey served as president of Glacier Clevite HWB, a $50M manufacturer, where he led the company to a GM Supplier of the Year award. Mr. Casey holds an Engineering Physics degree from the US Naval Academy and a Nuclear Engineering Degree & Naval Engineer's Degree from MIT.
